Mother's Day is right around the corner!
Noah Project's Rose Reflections awareness event is in full swing. Every year on Mother's Day, Noah Project partners with local churches to give congrations the chance to purchase beautiful, long-stemmed red roses. The roses are a way for people to honor their own mothers, and they are a reminder of all the mothers suffering from abuse right here in our community.
Participation:
Churches participate in a variety of ways. Sometimes the church gives a rose to every mother, some churches invite congregation members to order roses for themselves, and some churches buy bouquets to display in the sanctuary. Noah Project also distributes awareness materials that complement the roses and serve to spur discussion of family violence. Upon request, Noah Project supports the campaign with speakers that can talk about family violence to Sunday School classes or congregations, and we have a number of resources specifically written to help churches deal with family violence from a faith-based perspective.
