Working together to end dating violence. There are a lot of organizations and resources devoted to ending relationship violence. Learning as much as you can from a variety of different sources will give you a better picture of how we can all work together to prevent dating violence.
National Dating Abuse Hotline:
Love is Respect is the home of the National Teen Dating Abuse Hotline. The site has information about the hotline, dating violence info and resources, and a live chat feature to talk to an advocate online.
Regional Crime Victim Crisis Center:
The Regional Crime Victim Crisis Center is devoted to helping victims of crime in the Abilene area including support resources for victims of sexual assault.
Know the Red Flags:
Know the Red Flags is devoted to teaching teenagers how to recognize the red flags and warning signs of abuse. The site has an excellent online quiz to examine different scenarios and look why they may (or may not) be red flags.
Love is Not Abuse:
Love is Not Abuse is a project of Liz Claiborne devoted to ending all violence against women. The site has excellent, comprehensive information about dating violence written specifically for teens.
Choose Respect:
Choose Respect a dating violence site with resources for teens as well as educators and professionals working in the field. An excellent source of support materials, including downloadable dating violence videos.
