Social Deprivation

Keeping you away from your friends is not okay. Cutting someone off from friends and family is very common in abusive relationships. Your partner should not make you feel bad about hanging out with friends or make you feel guilty if you want time to do your own things.

Examples of Social Deprivation:
Keeping you away from friends Keeping you away from family Accusing you of cheating to make you feel guilty Keeping you from going to church or youth group Making you feel bad about spending time with family Insulting your family or friends Not letting you see others by yourself Trying to control all of your time Not letting you eat lunch or walk to class alone
